JEPARA - Use of electronic systems for civil servants are now increasingly become a trend. Once implemented the electronic attendance neighborhood Jepara Secretariat. Jepara gain the trust of the National Personnel Agency (BKN) to become a pilot manufacturing electronic PNS card (KPE) biometric.
From Monday (12/10), Regional Personnel Agency (BKD) Jepara began to take and validate biometric data. The data include photographs and electronic fingerprints of civil servants in Jepara. This data collection took place at the Multipurpose Building Secretariat Jepara.
Head of BKD Jepara Suliyono through the Head of the Welfare and Data Processing Muh. Nursinwan explains biometric data capture is part of the Implementation System for Electronic-based civil servants Biomettics Year 2009. The system is implemented directly by the National Employment Agency (BKN).
"In Central Java, biometric data acquisition activity in Jepara start in this week and next week to continue in Pati District," said Nursinwan.
Implementation of biometric systems of electronic-based civil servants, by BKN done in stages. This year Jepara allocated only as many as 4206, the total number of 10,363 employees in Jepara. Thus, a shortfall will be filled gradually.
After retrieval and validation of data, then employees will get KPE (PNS Card Electronic). KPE is a civil servant identity card which contains data authentication civil servants and their families, fingerprints and electronic photograph. This card can be used for payroll services, health, pensions, retirement savings, savings for housing, banking and other transactions.
Thus replacing the function KPE employee card (Karpeg). KPE also has a function to access the civil servants welfare services.
As the implementation of the utilization of KPE as a means of banking transactions, BKD, Central Java Province is currently a Memorandum of Understanding with the Bank Jateng. If realized, this card can function as an ATM card.
