IT users in Jepara Rise

Utilization of information technology among the people of Jepara increasing. Various elements of society have been utilizing the Internet as a means of communicating in everyday life. This was conveyed by the Regent of Jepara Hendro Martojo when opening the discussion and dissemination Indonesia Public Information Society (Warmasif) at Hotel Jepara Indah

The workshop was carried out by Depkominfo, Post Office, and Jepara regency followed by data management staff and information technology services related agencies, educational institutions, business associations, Public Communication Institute (MFI), SMEs and public service providers in the field of information and communication.

"The use of the Internet has made people even in Karimunjawa. One of them stayed home provider (homestay) in Karimunjawa to offer services to the tourists," explained.

The increased use of IT was spurred Jepara regency provide better services. "Since the beginning of this year we have been providing hot spots for free Internet access for the community to district level," he said.

According to him, from 16 subdistricts in Jepara, 14 districts have been given this service. Two districts that have not gotten hot spot is a new district, Pakisaji and Donorojo. Jepara Regency also offers four networked computers for free internet in public libraries. Similarly, the Social Service Manpower and Transmigration is widely used to Bursa Kerja Online.
